The SunYuan ISO AD U(A)-P-485 is a low-cost, compact, three-wire active intelligent isolation data acquisition module with communication capability. It features an active design that allows AD conversion of a wide range of analog signals, including 0–5 V, 0–10 V, 1–5 V, ±100 mV, 0–20 mA, and 4–20 mA. The module linearly scales the converted values according to the configured measurement range and transmits them to a host computer for acquisition and reading. This IC includes reverse and overcurrent protection and is suitable for upgrading traditional transmitters and instrumentation to digital intelligent control systems. It is widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, environmental monitoring, and mining for smart monitoring of physical quantities, including temperature, pressure, flow, and liquid level. In most industrial environments, sensors convert physical quantities—such as temperature, pressure, flow, and rotational speed—into analog electrical signals. These signals are then processed by the ISO AD U(A)-P-485 module for isolation, amplification, and AD conversion, before being transmitted to transmitters, control instruments, PLC/DCS systems, or host computers for remote measurement and control.
The ISOAD U(A)-P-485 features a three-wire active connection and is designed for isolating, amplifying, and transmitting analog signals—such as 0–5 V, 0–10 V, 1–5 V, ±100 mV, 0–20 mA, and 4–20 mA—between instruments, sensors, transmitters, and PLC/DCS systems. The module requires a single DC power supply of 5 V, 12 V, 15 V, or 24 V. Using the accompanying software, users can configure various parameters, including zero and full-scale calibration, alarm output control, and delay settings.
The ISOAD U(A)-P-485 supports RS485 communication, allowing remote connection to PLCs or HMIs for reading measurement values. Users can configure or modify parameters such as module address, baud rate, measurement range, and alarm thresholds. The module also provides alarm output control, and the alarm status can be read through registers.
The input signals and the acquired values of the ISOAD U(A)-P-485 maintain a linear correspondence. The maximum range is 60,000 and the minimum is –60,000. For example: With a 0–10 V input, the acquired values range from 0 to 10,000, where 0 V corresponds to 0, 5 V to 5,000, and 10 V to 10,000. With a 4–20 mA input, the acquired values range from 4,000 to 20,000, where 4 mA corresponds to 4,000, 12 mA to 12,000, and 20 mA to 20,000.
3) Operating Temperature Range: Rated: -20 ℃ to +60 ℃ .

6.Temperature Drift: ≤50 PPM/℃
7.Isolation Withstand Voltage: 3000 VDC triple isolation between auxiliary power, signal input, and RS485 signal output.
8.Dimensions: 33.1 × 15.5 × 10.4 mm; housed in a flame-retardant polyester case.
Precautions
1. Do not reverse the input signal (current direction), as this may damage the isolation data acquisition module.
2. The input current should generally not exceed 60 mA. Exposure to 100 mA may cause irreparable damage to the module. (When testing or connecting to a current loop, it is recommended to add a series resistor of at least 200 Ω for protection.)
3. Do not use the module in humid or corrosive environments, as this may shorten its service life or cause permanent damage.

Ordering and Selection Instructions
Before placing an order, please carefully read the entire manual to ensure that this product meets the requirements of your application and that the correct model is selected.
When ordering, it is recommended that users provide their parameter requirements in advance. The product can be calibrated at the factory prior to shipment, allowing for immediate use upon delivery.
User Instructions
1. Installation Please refer to the dimensions and pin descriptions when designing the PCB layout and during installation. The module comes in a SIP12 pin (single in-line 12-pin) package. Rail-type mounting is also supported.
2. External Circuit Connections The isolation data acquisition module operates in a three-wire active mode. There are six external connection pins:
Two analog signal input pins (voltage/current)
Two power supply pins
Two RS485 digital communication output pins
Important: Do not reverse the power supply connections, as this may damage the module.
Function Settings Parameters such as communication address, baud rate, measurement range, alarm points, and main variables can be configured by reading and writing the corresponding registers. For detailed information, please refer to the register table later in this manual.
Alarm Output and Applications Upper and lower alarm thresholds, as well as hysteresis time, can be set in registers 88–95. Alarm status can be read from register 96:
1: Alarm active 0: No alarm
· 1: Alarm active
· 0: No alarm
